UG Cakes, which was initially registered in year 2074, and now a part of Urban Girl Inc Pvt. Ltd, has been into Cake production and delivery since then. Contrary to how bakeries begin, UG Cakes began with two folks who had absolutely no idea of baking. UG Cakes is unique not only in terms of founding members, but in the way the whole end-to-end processes are fully auto-governed by system that serves everyone with required information enabling core business processes through it. UG Cakes could well be one of the finest in terms of process automation one can see in bakery industry.

From humble beginnings to becoming your favorite cake destination
Established
Urban Girl was established in 2012 with the vision to create a one-stop solution for all online shopping requirements. We believe in putting end consumers first and want to build a buying and selling culture where customer has significant control over the actions that relate to the customer.
Moved to New Baneswor
Started off at a small space in Shantinagar, we moved to New Baneswor with a dream to have a proper space to collaborate in a team and work together ahead towards achieving the goal of the company.
Sampled Cakes
As we were growing our portfolio of products, we sampled the first cake in June of 2014 and started working towards building a culture of selling cakes online to end consumers and delivering at their places.
Started Selling Cakes
After an year-long planning, we finally delved into selling cakes commercially. However, we still had no factory setup and were still trying out different models to sell cake online, one of which was buying and selling from a bakery.
Moved to Min Bhawan
As our team grew and our operations demanded better sales and delivery management, soon the space we had was not sufficient. We moved out to a new space at Min Bhawan and called it our corporate office.
Established UG Cakes in Bhimsengola
As cake sales was picking up rapidly, the current model did not suffice our demands and could not provide the quality of service we yearned for. Hence, we set up our bakery at Bhimsengola to speed up the production and delivery process.
Best Startup of the year
New Business Age Magazine awarded us with the Best startup of the year in the year 2018. This recognition reinforced our vision and put us forth even stronger towards achieving our goal.
A brand new home for Urban Girl and UG Cakes
As we were scaling up, we realized that the difference between office and bakery was limiting our capabilities, due to which we setup everything from scratch like we are doing it all over again. We setup office and constructed a new bakery at Midbaneswor.
Launched UG Bazaar
UG Bazaar had been a project in development since quite some years now. And now finally we launched it, where you are reading this right now. It focuses on a few niches in the first phase, but have three phases planned already.

UG Cakes is finally investment-ready with a scalable and lean business model that we have devised over the years of experience and R&D.
