Understanding payment currencies and regional pricing when sending gifts to Nepal
Payment Currencies
Paying from Australia
When you send cake or gifts to Nepal from Australia, the payment currency is USD (United States Dollar), not AUD. Your Australian bank may display the amount in AUD during the conversion process, but the transaction is processed in USD.
Paying from USA
Sending gifts to Nepal from USA is simple and secure with our direct USD (United States Dollar) payment processing. We accept all major US cards (Visa, Mastercard), ensuring a smooth experience when you send cake to Nepal from America. Whether you're in New York, Texas, or California, easily send love and koseli to Kathmandu and nationwide.
Paying from India
When sending koseli to Nepal from India, the payment currency is NPR (Nepali Rupee), not INR. This ensures transparent pricing and accurate transactions for Indian customers.
Other Payment Methods
For payment methods not available in NPR, USD is used as the default currency. We accept international Visa and Mastercard from all countries.
Regional Pricing Explained
When using foreign payment methods (non-Nepali), regional pricing is applied due to additional logistical costs. Here's why:
Currency Conversion Charges
Banks and payment processors charge fees for converting USD/AUD to NPR for processing.
Chargeback Protection Costs
International transactions face higher rates of false chargeback claims that our banks cannot easily negotiate, requiring significant logistical effort and legal resources to resolve.
Premium Support Staffing
Serving customers in Australia, USA, UK, and other time zones requires dedicated off-hour support staff to handle inquiries, delivery updates, and customer service needs 24/7.
Result: These additional operational costs are reflected in regional pricing to ensure we can continue providing premium international delivery service, reliable support, and fresh product quality when you send gifts to Nepal from Australia or anywhere worldwide.
Local Pricing: Due to lower processing charges and more efficient operations, we can provide subsidized prices to local consumers paying with locally available payment methods.

Understanding International Payment Currencies
When you send gifts to Nepal from Australia, it's important to understand payment currencies. The transaction is processed in USD (United States Dollar), not AUD. While your Australian bank statement may show the conversion in AUD, the actual payment currency is USD.
Similarly, customers sending from India will pay in NPR (Nepali Rupee), not INR. This ensures transparent pricing and accurate currency handling for all international transactions.
Why Regional Pricing for International Orders?
International orders use regional pricing due to several additional operational costs that don't apply to local Nepali payment methods:
- Currency Conversion Fees - Banks charge fees to convert USD/AUD to NPR
- Chargeback Protection - International payments face higher false chargeback claim rates, requiring legal resources and negotiation efforts with banks
- 24/7 Premium Support - Serving customers across multiple time zones (Australia, USA, UK) requires dedicated off-hour support staff
- International Payment Processing - Higher transaction fees for international Visa/Mastercard processing
These costs ensure we can continue providing reliable international delivery, premium customer support, and fresh product quality when you send cake or gifts to Nepal from abroad.
Delivery Coverage Across Nepal
We offer same-day delivery across Kathmandu Valley including Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, and as far as Dhulikhel (subject to road conditions) for orders placed before 5:00 PM Nepal time. For other cities like Pokhara, Biratnagar, Chitwan, and Butwal, we work with temperature-controlled courier partners to ensure your cake koseli arrives fresh.
